Homemade Bread Recipes: You’ll Never Buy Bread Again

– Basic Sandwich Bread
You will need an egg, one and 1/3 cups of water, ¼ cup of melted butter, ¼ cup of sugar, one and a half teaspoon of sea salt, 4 cups of bread flour and one and a half teaspoons of instant yeast/bread machine yeast or 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast.
Take a mixer or a bread machine and mix all these ingredients in it. If you do this by hand, leave the flour out at first, then add it after you’ve mixed them and mix again. You should mix with your hands for another 5-10 minutes once the dough is stiff.
The dough needs to stay for another 20 minutes. When it rises 2 times its size, divide it into the number of loaves you want. Take a baking pan, or you can cover it with some baking paper. Take the buns and bake them for 15 minutes, and bake the bread for half an hour at 350 degrees.
– Basic Sourdough Bread
You will need two and 1/3 cups of fresh sourdough starter, three and 1/3 cups of flour, one and a half cup of water and a little tbsp of salt. Take all these ingredients (except the water) and mix them. The dough should be kneaded until it’s so thin that light will pass between 4 fingers.
You will get a loaf and wait until it’s 2 times its size. Then, change its shape again and put it in a baking pan. It should be baked for 30-60 minutes at 400 degrees.
– Potato Bread Recipe
You will need 7 ounces of mashed potatoes, two and a half tbsp of sugar or honey, 2 tbsp of softened butter, 3 and a half cups of bread flour, a teaspoon of salt and 2 teaspoons of dry yeast (or one and a half teaspoon of saf).
The mashed potatoes should be prepared first. Next, the rest of the ingredients along with the potatoes need to be mixed in a kitchen machine for 6-8 minutes. If you prefer kneading it by hand, first take all the ingredients and mix them, but leave the flour out. It should be added after. Then, you will notice the dough becoming stickier. Let it grow for around 20 minutes, punch it down and repeat. Bake it for 40 minutes at 375 degrees.
– French Bread Recipe
You will need one and ¼ cups of warm water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tbsp of bread machine yeast, 1 teaspoon of sea salt and three and a half cups of bread flour.
First, mix the salt, yeast and sugar. Use warm water to dissolve them. Next, add the flour. When you notice that the dough is fir, let it grow for 20 minutes, punch it down and let it grow 2 times its size. Put it in a greased pan. Let it bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
