However, when people interfere, what matters the most is profit. So most of the brands that we see in the market are now classified as fake honey. And while you think you eat this healthy food, you do more harm than good to yourself.

1. Carefully Read The Label
The producers are obligated to show the content inside the jar. But, they can place that writing somewhere on the back with small letters. So, always check the label.
2. Crystallization
The fake honey has a consistent liquid composition, while the real honey crystallizes over time.
3. Water and Honey
If the honey melts in water that means is fake. The real honey melts in hot water, and after the water cools off it forms in clumps on the bottom of the container.
4. Caramelization
Heat up a few teaspoons of the honey in the microwave, and if it is real, it caramelizes. Yet, if it becomes foamy and bubbly, it is adulterated honey.
5. Honey and Bread
Spread some honey on a slice of fresh bread, and if natural, the bread will harden. In the case of fake honey, the surface of the bread will become damp.
6. Paper
The fake honey contains a lot of water, so if it’s absorbed on a piece of paper that means is fake. The real honey won’t get absorbed and will stay in the same form.
