The Girl Who Succeeded To Cure Herself From a Rare Disease With a Healthy Food
|With this example young Ella Woodward from London, showed how important diet is for the health. After being diagnosed with a rare disease, she decided to treat herself with healthy food and succeeded with it.
Ella was only 20 years-old when she woke up one morning with a swollen stomach, which looked exactly like a stomach in the last trimester of pregnancy would. A few months after visiting doctors and many test, she was finally diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, a rare disease that attacks the nervous system.
She was left without energy and her heart rate was drastically slow or fast in just a few seconds. Ella started sleeping 16 hours a day and spent weeks closed off in her room.
To deal with all the symptoms she drank 28 tablets a day. After months of such therapy without improvement, she decided to take matters into her own hands.
Inspired from the book “Crazy Sexy Diet” by Kris Carr, she began a vegetarian diet and started avoiding gluten. After so many years of eating processed food full of sugar, this was a real challenge for her.
– I hated fruit, I hated vegetables, I had no idea what quinoa is.
After months of eating the same vegetarian food, she decided to broaden her horizons and started to experiment. She made a blog called “Deliciously Ella” where she shares her recipes and experiences with others.
– It took me a long time to make something sweet that will not make me sick. To be happy you need balance. I started the blog to force myself to think of new recipes and try new things and it went well for me – says Ella.
