Here Is Why You Should Drink Water Before And After Every Meal
|Water like other beverages, isn’t recommended during a meal or at least shouldn’t be consumed in big amounts because drinking water while eating hinders the digestion process. Warm water is acceptable because it has minimal effect on the digestion process. Some warm tea with meals may also be pleasing to the stomach. Take note of thirst before a meal.
Consume enough water or other beverages like tea, lemonade or freshly squeezed juice, in order to quench your thirst before you start eating. It is recommended that 6-8 glasses of water or 1.5-2 liters of water are consumed daily. Still, if there is less salt in your food you will have less need of fluids. Soft drinks, coffee and alcohol act as diuretics, so these beverages can’t be substituted for water.
